Umeå Central Station (Swedish: Umeå centralstation or Umeå C) is a railway station in Umeå, Sweden.
The station was designed by architect Folke Zettervall and built between 1895-96.[1] In 2001, it was declared a byggnadsminne.[1] Redevelopment of the area began in July 2010.[2] The station will be closed from 7 August 2010 to 1 June 2011 and in the meantime the passenger traffic are moved to the new Umeå East Station.[3] It is expected to be completed in autumn 2012.[3]
